What is "Taiwan Cycling Certification"?
The Taiwan Cycling Certification System uses GPS tracking to plot cyclists' locations and time, which serves as the basis for certification. Interested riders may apply online at our website and complete payment.
Once payment is received, we will send you a GPS tracker, allowing you to track and trace your ride around Taiwan. (Alternatively, you may also complete payment and pick up your tracker in person at our office).
For riders aspiring to tour Taiwan, you will receive an official certificate through the Taiwan Cycling Certification program upon completion. Furthermore, through GPS tracking technology, you can let friends and family know of your whereabouts in real time, putting them at ease.
Applicants should fill out the online application form at our website, and then remit payment at least 5 days before departure.
Cost of Certification is NT $3800 (including NT $3000 as security deposit), per-trip rental fee is NT $800 (good for a 21-day period), and additional days cost NT $40 per day.

Sections Exempt from Cycling
As part of your certification, you must complete the tour around Taiwan on your bicycle; the only exception being the section of road between SuAo New Station and Hualien.
Our GPS tracker can operate over 10 hours continuously, updating data once every 5 minutes. Additionally, we recommend planning your riding time 5am to 8pm, so as to avoid accidents while riding in the dark.
You can set up an Auto-Check-in function that runs every day from 6am to 6pm, allowing your friends and family to cheer you on!
Applying for Certificate
The tracing data for each rider will be preserved for 1 month; please apply for the Certificate within this period upon completion of your tour.
Certification for Two or more (Group Certification)
Certification for a group of 2 riders and above must be done with all riders sharing the same start/finish locations, and ride together the entire way. The initial application should be completed by 1 person, renting 1 GPS unit (if the group size is over 5 people, we recommend renting 2 GPS units to ensure data integrity).
During the ride, all group members must take photos at designated locations with their bikes, to verify the ride. Once we have verified the rides, we will complementarily provide 1 copy of the Certificate of completion; additional copies of the Certificate can be made at a cost of NT $500 per copy, deductible from the security deposit.
Riders who have completed the tour are eligible to purchase souvenir hard-back Certificate sleeves or crystal mini-trophies. The Certificate sleeves are available for NT $250 per unit, and the mini-trophies for NT $2200 per unit. Complementary with each purchase is custom name engravings service, so that each unit is unique for your tour. (International shipping not included in price)
